Our Service
First Call Home Services is a home services concierge operating in Somerset County, NJ and surrounding areas. We research local home service providers on your behalf, provide recommendations, and coordinate service appointments. We act as an intermediary between homeowners and service providers.
Concierge Fee
Our concierge fee is 8.5% of the total job cost, with a minimum of $50 and a maximum of $150. This fee covers all research, provider vetting, and coordination services. You are only charged the concierge fee if you choose to proceed with our recommendation. There is no charge for receiving our initial research and recommendation.
Our Role
First Call Home Services acts as a concierge and coordinator. We are not a licensed contractor, HVAC technician, or electrician. We do not perform the home services ourselves. All work is performed by independent third-party service providers. We make reasonable efforts to recommend reputable providers but cannot guarantee the quality of their work.
Provider Relationships
Service providers recommended by First Call Home Services are independent businesses. Any contract for services is between you and the service provider. First Call Home Services is not a party to that contract and is not liable for the actions or omissions of any service provider.
Limitation of Liability
First Call Home Services is not liable for any damages arising from your use of our services or from the work performed by any recommended service provider. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the concierge fee paid.
User Responsibilities
By using our service you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your project and contact details
- Communicate directly with us if you have concerns about a recommendation
- Not contact service providers we recommend without proceeding through our service
Service Area
We primarily serve Somerset County, NJ and immediately neighboring areas. We reserve the right to decline service requests outside our coverage area.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
